The Chernobyl nuclear power plant was to become the most powerful nuclear power plant in Europe The station was designed for 12 power units, the first of which began operating in 1977. They managed to build and operate 4 power units.

And from 1986 to 2000, 1,2,3 reactors operated, after which the station went into a long mode of decommissioning.
