In the course of the conversation, Petro Poroshenko called on the EU to provide proper assessment to the facts of illegal crossing of the Ukrainian-Russian border by heavy military equipment and attack of the Russian servicemen on the position of the Ukrainian servicemen.

The President assured that Ukraine would provide all documental evidence for proper international response.

Petro Poroshenko informed that he demanded liberation of all Ukrainian hostages, including Nadiya Savchenko and Oleh Sentsov held captive in Russia.

Also, the Head of State asked the President of the European Council to include the Ukrainian issue into the agenda of the European Council on July 16. Herman Van Rompuy assured that it would be necessarily done.

President Petro Poroshenko emphasized that he expected clear and resolute reaction of the EU in accordance with the Conclusions of the European Council of June 27.
