On October 10-11 2014 the Seventh Bali Democracy Forum took place in the city for Denpasar, Bali. 85 countries, as well as numerous international and civic organisations took part in the forum.

This year's theme was "Evolving regional democratic architecture: the challenges of political development, public participation, and socio-economic progress in the XXI century."

The Ambassador of Ukraine, in his speech on the occasion, updated Forum participants on the development of the situation in our country. In particular, with regard to the latest events in the East of the country, the state of progress on the President Petro Poroshenko's Peace Plan, and efforts of the international community in assisting Ukriane in its battle against separatism and the Russian aggression.
