Adoption of anti-corruption laws and the Law on public prosecution is a significant step forward in the reformation of the country and bringing it closer to the European standards, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko emphasized.
"We are making decisive steps in fighting corruption. It is important that these steps are fully coordinated with our European partners. They are de-facto an implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU," the President told journalists in Zaporizhzhya.
The Head of State says that the given Agreement is virtually a program of state development under which harmonization of national legislation with European standards is being carried out.
The President particularly drew attention to the fact that the adoption of those laws would facilitate the improvement of investment climate in Ukraine. "Creation of investment climate is a task of the state. Today, we've made important steps in that direction – the Anti-Corruption Bureau has been established," Petro Poroshenko stressed. The Head of State emphasized that the rights of investors would be substantially increased through respective mechanisms due to the given laws.
