On 29.01.1918 near the village of Kruty, Ukraine, 400 brave Ukrainian student volunteers took on a 4 thousand-strong Russian Bolshevik army unit. Outgunned and outnumbered, they lost the battle, were taken prisoner, and executed by the Bolsheviks, but their bravery lives on in the hearts of Ukrainian patriots.
