The Embassy of Ukraine to the Republic of Indonesia took part in the first commemoration event for the Holocaust Remembrance Day in the History of Jakarta.

The event took place in the form of a panel discussion and documentary film viewing in the American civil society center "@America" (Jakarta). Representatives of the diplomatic corps, of the Indonesian civil society, academics, journalists, and students of prominent universities took part in the discussion.

During the event the participants discussed the importance of spreading awareness of the history of war and crimes against humanity among members of the international community. Unfortunately, issues of military agression, genocide, human rights violation, crimes against civilian populations, remain current in the XXI century.
