In connection with the tragic crash of the Indonesian Airforce Hercules aircraft in Medan, North Sumatra on 30 June 2015, the President of Ukraine expressed condolences on behalf of himself and the people of Ukraine to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo and to the families of the victims.

It is with deep sorrow that we learnt in Ukraine about the crash of Indonesian military plane in Medan, which caused numerous losses of lives.
