On the initiative of the Ukrainian side, H.E. Mr. Volodymyr Pakhil, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Indonesia, Representative of Ukraine to ASEAN, met with H.E. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community.

Ambassador briefed Deputy Secretary-General about the situation in and around Ukraine in connection with the ongoing Russian aggression as well as about corresponding actions and initiatives of the Ukrainian side.

The current state and prospects of further development of interaction between Ukraine and ASEAN were also discussed, particularly regarding the official Ukrainian application to accede to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia.
