As part of events to promote the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, on December 15, 2021, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Indonesia Vasyl Hamianin met with the Head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Indonesia Arsjad Rasjid, during which he exchanged views and proposals on a wide range of issues Ukrainian-Indonesian relations, ways of developing trade and economic cooperation, enhancing contacts between interested business circles of Ukraine and Indonesia.
The Ambassador informed Mr Arsjad Rasjid about the existing mechanisms for the practical strengthening of economic interaction, in particular, using the tools of the Council of Exporters and Investors of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, which accumulates information on investment and trade opportunities around the world.
The parties agreed that the establishment of effective interaction between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Indonesia and the Council of Exporters and Investors of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine through the signing of the relevant Memorandum of Understanding proposed by the Ukrainian side will facilitate the establishment of business contacts between Ukrainian exporters and importers abroad. The head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Indonesia confirmed his readiness to hold the signing ceremony of the Memorandum in January 2022.
