On 26 July 2022 the Fourth Meeting of Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Indonesian Commission on Economic and Technical Cooperation took place online under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine H.E. Mr. Taras Kachka and Director General for American and European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia H.E. Mr. I Gede Ngurah Swajaya.
During the meeting, Parties expressed their interest in further deepening trade, economic, technical, and investment cooperation across all spheres of mutual interest, including industry and agriculture.
Both Parties agreed to finalize at the earliest convenience Joint Feasibility Study for the Preferential Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Indonesia.
The Delegations agreed to encourage the promotion of cooperation between the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) and the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI). In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Ukraine, KADIN and UCCI agreed to organize webinars and B-to-B meetings between their members to concretize business relations between the two countries.
Counterparts welcomed the signing of the Agreement on Mutual Visa Exemption for the ordinary passport holders of the citizens of the two countries on 29 June 2022 in Kyiv, which will further strengthen friendly relations through people-to-people contacts and traveling.
Indonesian Party expressed its intention to establish cooperation in the field of terrorism prevention and countermeasures, as well as in the area of cybersecurity.
Ukraine Party invited its counterpart to participate in post-war reconstruction projects in Ukraine.
The Meeting became the first event of such a level held by Ukraine with partner countries since the beginning of full-scale russian aggression on 24 February 2022.
