This year, on this day, the Embassy offers to join and watch the Ukrainian film "Homeward".

The issues of the film (Russian-Ukrainian war, occupation of Crimea, the fate of the Crimean Tatar people) are especially important and deserve attention on this day.

Film director Nariman Aliev joins to us through a question and answer session on November 21, at 6.30 pm (Jakarta).

"Homeward" will be screened as part of the European Film Festival "Europe on Screen" (EoS), one of the largest film festivals in Indonesia, which takes place from 16 to 30 November 2020 through the online platform Festival Scope.

This year, another 40 films from 25 European countries can be viewed for free from anywhere in Indonesia.

Homeward is a Ukrainian drama film of 2019, the full-length directorial debut of Nariman Aliev with Akhtem Seitablaev in the lead role.

The world premiere of the film took place on May 22, 2019, at the 72nd Cannes International Film Festival, where it participated in the competition program "Special Look".

On August 23, 2019, the Ukrainian Oscar Committee selected Nariman Aliev's drama "Homeward" as Ukraine's national nominee for the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
