On May 18, 1944, nearly 200 000 #CrimeanTatars were deported from their homeland in #Crimea. We remember and commemorate them as victims of senseless brutality and genocide committed by the Soviet regime. 🇺🇦

On May 18, 2020, on the day of the 76th anniversary of the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people, a solemn raising of the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar flags took place near the building of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Indonesia.

The symbolic action aims to draw public attention to one of the greatest tragedies in Ukrainian history.
