Ukraine's interparliamentary relations with the Republic of Indonesia received a boost with the working visit of Ukrainian Member of Parliament and Head of the Parliamentary Group for Interparliamentary Relations with the Republic of Indonesia, V.M.Vecherko.

During his visit, the Parliamentarian met with the Head of the People's Consultative Assembly, Sidarto Danusubroto, as well as Deputy Speaker of the People's Representative Council P. Anung, Head of the Agency for the Development of Interparliamentary Relations of the People's Representative Council, S. Hidayat. The parties discussed issues of development of interparliamentary dialogue and ways of boosting its activity.

The Ukrainian delegation held negotiations with Heads of Indonesian companies interested in developming cooperation with Ukraine. The negotiations resulted in specific agreements; furthermore, projects of significant potential for bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation of particular potential have been determined.

The visit served to reaffirm a mutual commitment to increasing interparliamentary activity, especially with regard to practical steps and goals of further development of bilateral relations, with an emphasis on economic activity.
