Ukraine is constantly working to create favorable conditions for business and investments

"Ukraine is constantly working to create favorable business-environment," Viktor Yanukovych noted.

In the course of his speech at the Ukrainian-Czech business-forum, the Head of State stressed that the main factors for that were the functioning of the Council of Investors under the President of Ukraine and the application of the law on state-private partnership.

"We are working with famous consulting companies of the world level and attracting investors to this work," Viktor Yanukovych said.

In that context, the Head of State urged Ukrainian and Czech investors to cooperate actively. "I am confident that we will create all the conditions and welcome such cooperation," the President emphasized.

Viktor Yanukovych named several examples of successful cooperation with Czech partners. Particularly, Czech enterprise "Kvazar Plus" successfully functions in Ukrainian market. Also, French-Czech company "Cegelec" begins the production of trolleybuses for the EU market jointly with Ukrainian corporation "Bogdan". The Head of State reminded that the given company in cooperation with Lviv bus factory had produced trolleybuses for Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk in the framework of preparations to EURO-2012.

Another successful example of Ukrainian-Czech cooperation is the production of dual-system six-axial electric locomotives with usage of Ukrainian components held jointly with "Škoda Transportation" in the framework of the program for restoring national locomotive fleet.

Fifth meeting of Ukrainian-American Working Group on Political Dialogue and Rule of Law took place

The fifth meeting of Ukrainian-American Working Group on the Political Dialogue and the Rule of Law under the Strategic Partnership Commission Ukraine – USA took place under presidency of Advisor to the President of Ukraine Andriy Portnov and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Thomas Melia.

The meeting has been attended by Minister of Justice of Ukraine Olena Lukash, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine - Chief of Staff Andrii Olefirov, Press Secretary of the President of Ukraine Daria Chepak and U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey R. Pyatt.

The participants of the meeting discussed the issue of strengthening democracy, protection of human rights, development of civil society and freedom of mass media. American party reaffirmed support of the Ukrainian course for European integration on the eve of the "Eastern Partnership" Summit in Vilnius.

Also, the parties noted the importance of regular meetings of the Working Group on the Political Dialogue and the Rule of Law as a mechanism of bilateral consultations within Ukrainian-American Strategic Partnership Commission and outlined a range of issues for discussion at the next meeting that will be held in Washington in 2014.

Mykola Azarov: Ukraine sees significant economic favors from FTA with EU

Ukraine will feel significant economic favors after concluding the Association Agreement anhttp://www.kmu.gov.ua/img/1x1.gifd DCFTA with the European Union. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov declared during the IV International Black Sea Economic Forum in Yalta.

“From creating a free trade area with the EU economic advantages in perspective for Ukraine are evident,” Mykola Azarov said.

He reminded that after signing the Association Agreement and creation of FTA the European Union would practically remove import duties from almost 97% commodity items. At this Ukraine preserves certain level of protection which is to act during five years of the transition period.
