29 October 2021 Ambassador to Indonesia Dr. Vasyl Hamianin paid a courtesy call to H.E. Mr. I Gede Ngurah Swajaya, Director General of America and Europe, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

Ambassador drew attention to the necessity of organizing important events in 2022 to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Indonesia, starting with high-level official visits, the conclusion of bilateral political documents, signing business contracts. 

The diplomats also discussed topical issues of bilateral agenda, including joint response to the pandemic, strengthening political contacts, and extending practical cooperation; exchanged views on further steps of Ukraine towards rapprochement with ASEAN, including the framework of ASEAN Interparliamentary Assembly, where the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine obtained official observer status on August 25, 2021.
