On 13 February 2026, Ms. Yevhenia Shynkarenko, Chargé d'affaires of Ukraine, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary General of AIPA.

The discussion underscored the critical importance of sustained, comprehensive support for Ukraine from the international community and also highlighted Ukraine’s intention to become an ASEAN Sectoral Dialogue Partner. Both sides agreed to maintain regular dialogue to ensure effective inter-parliamentary cooperation.
