The Council of People's Representatives (Lower House of Parliament) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) hosted the inauguration ceremony of the Group on Bilateral Cooperation with Ukraine, formed within the newly elected RI legislature.

The main functions and tasks of the said "friendship group" are: promoting friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation with Ukraine, maintaining inter-parliamentary dialogue, improving cooperation within international parliamentary organizations in order to solve the global problems of today and so on.

During the event the Head of the Ukrainian Diplomatic Missiom in Indonesia met with members of the Group to discuss the ways of further cooperation and enhancing contacts between the Parliaments of the two countries.
